About Meredith Vender, LCSW

With almost a decade of experience in the field of social work, Meredith is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive services to clients under her care. Her clinical expertise, honed working in both inpatient medical and psychiatric hospitals over the course of her career, has equipped Meredith to support clients and their families coping with chronic illness with great patience, empathy and skill.

Experience

Prior to starting her private practice, Meredith worked for several years as an inpatient social worker at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. In this role Meredith worked with a broad population of adults and older adults with a variety of medical and mental health diagnoses. Meredith is also experienced in working with parents of children with chronic illness and developmental disabilities. Meredith is well-versed in navigating the complex medical system, including fostering collaboration and communication with clients’ medical treatment teams and assisting with important healthcare related documents. Her strong network with a vast array of community resources, including support groups, addiction treatment facilities and caregiver agencies make her adept at providing the necessary assistance to help clients achieve their goals.

Qualifications

Meredith received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University and a Master of Social Welfare from UCLA. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker registered by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW 68680) and a Certified Case Manager (CCM) by the Commission for Case Manager Certification.
